I first met her during a difficult time earlier this year, in early February, when severe flooding affected my school. She was one of the many stray animals seeking refuge, frightened and alone at the temporary shelter set up in our school compound. Among all the animals, Nang Nak caught my attention with her calm eyes and gentle nature. I decided to take her home, unsure of what the future would hold for us both.

Over the past months, Nang Nak has transformed from a timid stray into a warm and affectionate companion. She quickly adjusted to her new surroundings and formed a strong bond with me. When I noticed her belly growing, I suspected she might be pregnant, but tonight confirmed everything.

Her delivery was peaceful and instinctive—she chose a quiet corner and nestled in as nature took its course. The two tiny kittens arrived safely, their soft cries filling the room with life. Watching Nang Nak care for them so lovingly reminds me of the resilience and beauty of animals, even those that come from hardship.
