A Moment of Concern and Prayers for a Colleague’s Family

HPRZ KOTA BHARU - The school community of SK Gual To'Deh is currently experiencing a moment of sadness and deep concern as one of its respected teachers, Cikgu Salimi, is facing a difficult trial involving his wife’s health condition. Over the past few months, his wife has been unwell, and this situation has greatly affected both the family and those close to them within the school community.

The nurse is transporting his wife to the operating room at Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II.

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to visit her at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Seeing her condition at that time was a very emotional and heartbreaking experience. The environment of the ICU, filled with medical equipment and the quiet seriousness of the staff, reminded us of how fragile human life can be. Despite the difficult situation, there was still hope and continuous medical support provided by the doctors and nurses who were doing their best to care for her.

This morning brought another wave of concern when we received news that Cikgu Salimi’s wife had been admitted to the operating theatre for surgery. This development naturally caused anxiety among colleagues and friends who have been following her health journey. Everyone in the school community has been praying sincerely that the procedure will go smoothly and that she will regain her strength soon.

In times like this, the spirit of unity and compassion among teachers and staff becomes even more meaningful. Many colleagues have expressed their sympathy and support for Cikgu Salimi and his family. Messages of encouragement, prayers, and kind words have been shared, reflecting the strong bond within the school community. It is during such difficult moments that we truly understand the importance of empathy and solidarity.

We sincerely pray that Allah SWT will grant ease, healing, and protection to Cikgu Salimi’s wife. May the surgery be successful and may she recover fully, returning to her normal life with renewed health and strength. At the same time, we also pray for strength and patience for Cikgu Salimi and his family as they go through this challenging period.

The entire community of SK Gual To'Deh hopes that this difficult chapter will soon pass and be replaced with good news and relief. It is our heartfelt wish that life will return to normal, bringing happiness and peace once again to the family. May Allah SWT shower His mercy and blessings upon them and grant a full recovery in the days ahead.

A Moment of Reflection on a Rooftop Worker

SK GUAL TO'DEH - While sitting quietly in my room today, my attention was suddenly drawn to a worker who was replacing damaged roofing at the height of a four-storey building. From where I stood, I could clearly see him carefully balancing himself while carrying out his duty high above the ground. The situation immediately caught my interest and touched my heart. I felt compelled to take a photograph and move closer to observe his work more carefully. At that very moment, I realised how frightening such a job could be.

A man was replacing a damaged roof at the height of a four-storey building. I felt extremely afraid of the height.

As I looked up from below, I honestly felt dizzy and nervous. Even standing safely on the ground, I could already feel the fear of heights. It was difficult for me to imagine how this worker managed to remain calm and focused while carrying out his responsibilities at such a dangerous height. Every movement required courage, concentration, and confidence. One small mistake could expose him to serious risks and danger.

This experience made me reflect deeply on the sacrifices made by workers who are involved in high-risk jobs such as repairing roofs, cleaning tall buildings, and constructing skyscrapers. These workers often face extreme weather conditions, physical exhaustion, and dangerous environments every single day. Despite the risks, they continue working diligently because they carry important responsibilities towards their families and loved ones. Their determination and bravery deserve great appreciation and respect from society.

Many people may only see the completed buildings and beautiful structures without thinking about the hardworking individuals behind them. In reality, every tall building and every repaired rooftop represent the sweat, effort, and sacrifice of workers who earn an honest living through difficult labour. These individuals work tirelessly to provide food, shelter, and education for their families. Their work may not always receive public recognition, but their contribution is truly meaningful and valuable.

Watching this worker also reminded me about the dignity of halal and honest earnings. No matter how difficult or dangerous the work may be, earning a living through lawful means is something noble and honourable. It is a symbol of responsibility, perseverance, and sincerity in fulfilling one’s duty as the provider for a family.

I sincerely pray that this hardworking man will always be protected and blessed by Allah SWT while carrying out his duties. May his work continue to bring halal sustenance and happiness to his family. I also hope that all workers in dangerous professions will remain safe, healthy, and appreciated for the sacrifices they make every day for the sake of their loved ones and society.

Hot Weather at SK Gual To'Deh

SK GUAL TO'DEH - Today, SK Gual To'Deh experienced very hot weather conditions even though dark clouds could be seen in the sky. The cloudy atmosphere gave the impression that rain might fall at any moment, yet the temperature remained high and uncomfortable throughout the day. Many pupils and teachers could feel the heat during school activities, especially during outdoor sessions and assembly time.

The hot weather situation at SK Gual To'Deh, a school located near the Malaysia–Thailand border.

Hot weather is a natural phenomenon that is closely related to several weather factors. One of the main factors is the increase in air temperature caused by strong sunlight trapped within the atmosphere. Sometimes, although clouds are present, the heat from the sun still remains because the clouds do not carry enough moisture to produce rainfall. In addition, weak wind movement and high humidity can make the surrounding environment feel warmer and more uncomfortable. Climate change and seasonal weather patterns also contribute to the occurrence of prolonged hot weather in many areas.

The hot weather can affect human health, especially school children who are actively involved in physical activities. Exposure to excessive heat for a long period may lead to dehydration, tiredness, headaches, and even heat stroke. Heat stroke is a dangerous condition that occurs when the body becomes too hot and cannot cool itself properly. If not treated immediately, it can cause serious health problems.

Therefore, pupils of SK Gual To'Deh are strongly advised to take care of their health during this hot season. They are encouraged to bring water bottles to school and drink plenty of water throughout the day. Drinking enough water helps the body stay hydrated and reduces the risk of heat-related illnesses. Pupils should also avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, especially during recess or outdoor activities. Wearing comfortable clothing and taking short breaks in shaded areas are also important safety measures.

Teachers and parents play an important role in reminding children about the importance of maintaining good health during hot weather conditions. The school community should work together to ensure pupils remain safe and healthy while carrying out their daily learning activities.

In conclusion, the hot weather experienced at SK Gual To'Deh today should serve as an important reminder for everyone to be more aware of weather-related health risks. Although the sky appeared cloudy, the temperature remained extremely hot due to several weather factors. By practising healthy habits such as drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated, pupils can protect themselves from heat stroke and continue learning comfortably and safely at school.

The Official TV PSS Uniform for Studio Ignite

IGNITE STUDIO - Studio Ignite has recently introduced its official TV PSS uniform as part of its effort to strengthen the identity and professionalism of the school media team. A total of six shirts were purchased online and will soon be completed with the official TV PSS logo stamp. These uniforms will be worn by the student journalists and media crew during school programmes, reporting sessions, and podcast activities conducted in the studio room.

The TV PSS reporters are wearing the official TV PSS uniform in the studio room. The official presentation ceremony of the uniform will be held during the school assembly soon, and the uniforms will be presented by the headmaster.

The introduction of the official uniform carries several important objectives. Firstly, it aims to create a strong sense of identity among the members of TV PSS. By wearing the same uniform, the student reporters will appear more organised, confident, and professional during school events. Secondly, the uniform is intended to enhance teamwork and unity among the members. It encourages students to work together responsibly while representing the school media team. In addition, the uniform helps to promote discipline and commitment among the students involved in broadcasting and reporting activities.

The rationale behind introducing the official TV PSS shirt is closely related to the growing importance of digital media and communication skills in education. Nowadays, students are actively involved in multimedia activities such as video reporting, interviewing, live streaming, and podcast production. Therefore, having an official uniform reflects the seriousness and credibility of the team. It also gives recognition to the efforts and contributions of the student journalists who dedicate their time and energy to producing quality media content for the school community.

Besides that, the uniform creates a positive image of Studio Ignite during official programmes and public events. When the reporters wear the same attire, it becomes easier for teachers, students, and guests to identify the TV PSS crew. This indirectly improves communication and coordination during school programmes. The professional appearance of the team also increases students’ motivation and self-confidence while carrying out their duties as young reporters and broadcasters.

The impact of introducing the official TV PSS uniform is expected to be highly positive. It will inspire students to become more active and creative in media-related activities. Furthermore, it can strengthen students’ communication, leadership, and collaboration skills. The initiative also supports the development of 21st-century learning skills, especially in the areas of digital literacy and effective communication. Overall, the official uniform represents not only the identity of Studio Ignite but also the school’s commitment to nurturing talented, responsible, and confident student journalists for the future.

KEM PUSU 40 - A TKRS camping programme was successfully held from 10 April 2026 until 12 April 2026 at Kem Pusu 40. The programme involved participants from several schools around the district. Four pupils from SK Gual To'Deh proudly represented their school in the three-day camping activity. All of them were Year 6 pupils who showed great enthusiasm and commitment throughout the programme.

A TKRS coordinator is taking photographs of the camping participants.

The main objective of the camping programme was to build leadership qualities, discipline, teamwork, and self-confidence among the participants. The organisers prepared various interesting and educational activities for the campers. Throughout the programme, the pupils had the opportunity to learn many new skills and gain valuable experiences outside the classroom environment.

Among the activities conducted during the camp were marching practice, jungle trekking, group competitions, first aid lessons, and team-building games. The participants also took part in motivational sessions and outdoor challenges that tested their physical and mental strength. These activities encouraged cooperation and strengthened friendship among the campers. The pupils from SK Gual To'Deh actively participated in every activity and managed to adapt well to the camp environment.

One of the most memorable experiences for the participants was sleeping inside tents. For some of them, it was their first experience staying overnight in a campsite. Although they initially felt nervous, they soon became excited and enjoyed the experience together with their friends. They learned how to organise their personal belongings, maintain cleanliness, and work together to ensure their tents were comfortable and safe.

Besides that, the camp also taught the participants the importance of discipline and responsibility. They had to follow a strict schedule and obey the instructions given by the camp facilitators. Every participant needed to wake up early, attend activities on time, and cooperate with their teammates. These experiences helped to develop positive attitudes and good character among the pupils.

In conclusion, the TKRS camping programme at Kem Pusu 40 was highly beneficial and meaningful for the participants from SK Gual To'Deh. The camp provided them with valuable knowledge, practical skills, and unforgettable memories. It is hoped that more pupils will have the opportunity to participate in such programmes in the future to enhance their confidence, leadership skills, and teamwork spirit.
