The Final Recording Day of “Batu Belah Batu Bertangkup”

ENGLISH CENTER SK GUAL TO'DEH - Today marks the final recording of the drama Batu Belah Batu Bertangkup, after nearly two weeks of intense practice and heartfelt dedication. The journey from the first rehearsal to this very moment has been filled with excitement, learning, and a deep sense of teamwork among all the actors involved. As I reflect on the experience, I realize that what makes this production truly meaningful is not merely the completion of a task, but the shared passion and commitment that every individual has brought to it.

Here are the props prepared for the drama Batu Belah Batu Bertangkup, depicting a rustic 1950s village atmosphere — wooden houses on stilts, smoky wood fires, woven mats, oil lamps, and children playing barefoot near lush banana trees and paddy fields.

From the beginning, the actors demonstrated an exceptional level of enthusiasm and discipline. Each rehearsal session was approached with seriousness and creativity, transforming every line of dialogue into a living expression of emotion and culture. What stands out most is that no one participated out of obligation; every actor joined willingly, driven by genuine interest and love for the story. This voluntary spirit created a positive atmosphere throughout the production process, allowing everyone to work with harmony and mutual respect.

Batu Belah Batu Bertangkup is more than just a folk tale. It carries profound messages about human emotions, particularly about love, loss, and regret. Bringing this legendary story to life on screen required not only acting skills but also emotional understanding. The actors worked diligently to internalize the characters’ struggles, and their efforts have been truly inspiring. Seeing them evolve from the early stages of rehearsal to the confident performers they are today has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.

The talented cast includes Hafiq Ruza as the Narrator, whose expressive voice guides the audience through the story’s emotional flow. Ainul Nabilah plays Mak Tanjung, portraying a mother’s sorrow and sacrifice with heartfelt realism. Ahmad Daryan takes on the role of Pekan, embodying innocence and curiosity, while Aisyah Humaira beautifully portrays Melur, the caring and gentle sister. Muhammad Amar performs as Batu Belah, representing the mysterious and symbolic spirit of nature. Supporting the production behind the scenes is Nasran Muammar, the dedicated Technician Assistant, whose technical expertise ensures the smooth running of every scene.

This morning, as we prepared for the final recording, the weather was calm and slightly cold — a serene setting that perfectly matched the reflective mood of the day. The quiet breeze and soft sunlight seemed to symbolize a sense of closure and gratitude. There is always a mix of emotions at the end of a creative journey: joy for what has been achieved, nostalgia for the time spent together, and hope for future opportunities to collaborate again.

As the director and facilitator of this project, I feel deeply thankful to Allah SWT for granting us the strength and patience to complete this drama successfully. Every challenge we faced — from scheduling conflicts to technical difficulties — was overcome with cooperation and prayer. Indeed, this experience has reaffirmed the value of teamwork, faith, and perseverance.

When the final scene is recorded today, it will not just signify the end of a production but the culmination of a beautiful chapter in our shared artistic journey. The memories, laughter, and lessons we have gathered along the way will remain in our hearts. May Allah continue to bless our efforts and guide us towards more meaningful creative endeavors in the future.
