A Parent’s Touch: How One Mother Inspires a Cleaner Classroom

SK GUAL TO'DEH - This morning, after sending her child to school, a mother known as Da quietly walked into Year 2A’s classroom. What happened next was both simple and inspiring. Without any request or expectation, Da picked up a broom and began sweeping the classroom. She noticed that the floor was rather dusty and littered, and decided she could not leave it that way for her child and classmates.

It was a small act in appearance, but a huge gesture in meaning. Da is the only parent who consistently takes the time to help clean her child’s classroom. Her actions reflect a deep sense of responsibility, love, and care — not just for her own child, but for the whole class. In a time when many parents are busy with work and daily routines, Da stands out as an example of how parents can play an active role in the school community.

Her effort reminds us that education is not only about books and lessons. A clean, comfortable, and welcoming classroom is equally important in shaping a positive learning environment. Teachers already have many duties, and when parents step in to help, even in small ways, it creates a stronger partnership between home and school.

Da’s kindness and initiative deserve recognition. Her contribution shows that building a better school environment is a shared responsibility. If more parents followed her example, classrooms would not only be cleaner, but the spirit of cooperation and community would grow stronger.
