SK GUAL TO'DEH - This morning at SK Gual To’Deh, the school assembly was filled with excitement as three special programmes were conducted together in a meaningful combination. The first highlight of the day was the Short Conversation performance by Year 6 students. This performance showcased their ability to communicate in English through simple dialogues and role plays. The activity not only entertained the audience but also reflected the students’ growing confidence in using English in front of their peers and teachers. It was a proud moment for the teachers, who have worked hard to guide their pupils in developing communication skills aligned with CEFR expectations.
The second programme was the Prize Giving Ceremony for pupils who passed the Remedial Class. This moment was particularly heartwarming as it celebrated the achievement of students who had previously faced learning challenges. With dedication, guidance, and continuous support, these pupils showed remarkable progress in their academic performance. The ceremony served as encouragement for them to continue their learning journey with renewed motivation. At the same time, it reminded other students that perseverance and hard work will always bring positive results. Teachers and parents were also acknowledged for their roles in supporting these learners, making the ceremony even more meaningful.
The third programme was the Launching of the 2025 Independence Month Celebration (Bulan Kemerdekaan 2025). The launching was filled with patriotic spirit as the school began its month-long activities to commemorate Malaysia’s independence. Students and teachers were reminded of the importance of unity, national identity, and the sacrifices made by past generations. The school environment was decorated with flags and banners, creating a festive and vibrant atmosphere that encouraged everyone to participate in upcoming events such as patriotic song competitions, essay writing contests, and independence-themed exhibitions.
The combination of these three programmes in one assembly demonstrated the school’s commitment to nurturing academic growth, character building, and love for the nation. It highlighted the holistic approach taken by SK Gual To’Deh in shaping well-rounded students who are competent in communication, resilient in facing challenges, and patriotic as future citizens of Malaysia. The assembly ended with cheers and applause, leaving students motivated and inspired to achieve more in the coming months.
