SK GUAL TO'DEH - The Highly Immersive Programme (HIP) has become an essential initiative under the Ministry of Education Malaysia, designed to cultivate a positive and engaging environment for English language learning. On this note, SK Gual To’Deh proudly hosted the Fifth Launching Ceremony of HIP in 2025, marking a significant milestone as the final large-scale implementation of HIP at the school. The programme was conducted in four languages, reflecting the school’s commitment to multilingualism and cultural inclusivity. The event was facilitated in Malay and English by Sir Mazeri, and in Arabic and Thai by Ustazah Suhaila.

The ceremony commenced with a prayer recitation led by a student, Ahmad Darien Bin Ahmad Affendi, symbolizing gratitude and blessings for the event’s success. This was followed by an opening performance from the Puteri Tanjung Dance Troupe, presenting the Ketipang Payung dance. This traditional performance, adapted from the classic Malay film Pak Belalang, highlighted the richness of Malay cultural heritage.
The programme continued with an energetic Muay Thai demonstration, accompanied by traditional drummers from Kg Lanchang. The fusion of martial arts and live traditional music captivated the audience and celebrated the cross-cultural influences in the region. Following this, performances alternated between students from SK Gual To’Deh, SK Kangkong, SK Gual Sitok, and SK Bukit Perah, showcasing a vibrant spectrum of talents. Among these, a robotics performance stood out, drawing significant attention and reflecting the integration of modern technology and innovation into the school curriculum.
As the event neared its conclusion, a remarkable duet rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” was presented by talented students of SK Gual To’Deh. The performance was powerful, emotional, and received enthusiastic applause from the audience.
The official opening speech of the Fifth HIP was delivered by Pn. Nurhaniah Bt. Said from the Kelantan State Education Department. In her address, she emphasized the importance of HIP in enhancing students’ confidence, creativity, and competency in using English within a multilingual context. Following her speech, the ceremonial cutting of the HIP banner took place, symbolizing the formal launch. A special highlight of the programme was the presentation of the HIP report (2021–2025), documenting five years of successful implementation at SK Gual To’Deh.
To conclude the event, guests were treated to ice cream sponsored by the Persatuan Belia Prihatin, adding a joyful note to the memorable occasion.
This fifth launch of HIP not only represented the culmination of five years of dedication and innovation at SK Gual To’Deh but also stood as a testament to the school’s holistic approach to language education. By integrating cultural heritage, modern technology, and multilingualism, the programme fostered a dynamic and inclusive environment that celebrated both learning and community engagement.
