SK GUAL TO'DEH - The third day of the 25th Language Week and Highly Immersive Programme (HIP) at SK Gual To’Deh promises to be another exciting moment for pupils, as the Arabic Language Panel takes the lead in organizing the activities. Tomorrow, the spotlight will be on Arabic language and culture, with a series of engaging sessions conducted by Ustaz Fatah and Ustazah Suhaila right after the school recess.
This programme, which has already seen much success in previous years, aims to enhance pupils’ appreciation of languages and to strengthen their communication skills in a fun and interactive way. As part of the Ministry of Education’s effort to foster multilingualism, the HIP encourages students not only to excel in English but also to gain exposure to other languages such as Arabic.
For tomorrow’s agenda, a variety of activities have been carefully designed to capture the students’ interest and participation. Among the highlights is a simple Arabic conversation session, where pupils will be guided to use basic expressions in real-life contexts. This activity is expected to boost their confidence in using the language while fostering a positive learning environment.
Another lively feature is the Arabic singing activity. Through songs, pupils will not only enjoy the rhythm and melody but also familiarize themselves with correct pronunciation and vocabulary. Music has long been recognized as an effective tool in language acquisition, and this element of the programme is likely to be well received by the young learners.
In addition, a “pronunciation drill” session will be conducted to help students refine their speaking skills. This activity focuses on articulation and accuracy, ensuring that pupils develop a strong foundation in spoken Arabic. Complementing this are other interactive games and group tasks, which will add fun and excitement to the overall programme.
The commitment shown by the Arabic Language Panel reflects the school’s dedication to nurturing holistic learners. By providing meaningful exposure to Arabic, SK Gual To’Deh continues to support its pupils in becoming globally minded individuals who appreciate the beauty and diversity of languages.
As the week progresses, anticipation grows for more enriching activities under Language Week and HIP. With the active involvement of teachers and the enthusiastic response from pupils, this year’s 25th celebration is set to leave a lasting impact on the school community.
