Farewell to Abam Rembo Castello: A Beloved Kelantanese Influencer Who Brought Joy Through His Dialect and Kind Heart

LUBOK JONG - This Facebook post from Masjid Mukim Banggol shares the sad news of the passing of Cikgu Li, who was affectionately known in the community as Abam Rembo Castello. He passed away in Yogyakarta, after spending several weeks receiving treatment in the hospital.

He was a well-known influencer in the state of Kelantan. He spoke in an entertaining Kelantanese dialect. Slang Kelantan KL.

The late Cikgu Li was well known as a friendly, kind-hearted person who always brought joy and smiles to those around him. His humble personality and willingness to help others left a deep impression on everyone who knew him.

He passed away on a blessed Friday, which adds even more sorrow yet comfort to his departure. In Islamic belief, dying on a Friday is considered a sign of blessing, as it is the holiest day of the week.

Friends, colleagues, and local residents filled the comment section with heartfelt condolences and prayers, hoping that his soul will be showered with mercy and placed among the righteous.

“May his soul be blessed with Allah’s mercy and be placed among the faithful and righteous. InshaAllah. Ameen.”

The passing of the late Cikgu Li is a great loss to the community that loved him dearly. May Allah forgive his sins, accept his good deeds, and grant strength and patience to his entire family. I did not know him personally, but I knew him through social media. My deepest condolences to his family, from me and all the staff of SK Gual To'Deh.

Al-Fatihah.
